Team Puresport’s Ryan Powell is one of the most versatile and prolific lacrosse players in the history of the game. That’s why he’s part of our team!
Originally from West Carthage, NY, Powell was a four time All American at Syracuse University – so were both of his brothers, Casey and Mike.
Ryan Powell is one of few players in the game who compete professionally in both the outdoor (Major League Lacrosse) and indoor (National League Lacrosse) leagues…and he’s a superstar in both. In 2006, Powell was awarded both the Major League Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Year Award and the MVP. He is the only player to receive the MVP award twice. In 2008, Powell, a muti-time All Star Game participant, captured the All Star Game MVP honors.
When he’s not dominating on the field, Powell is delivering his expertise to thousands of young players across the country each year through two different lacrosse businesses he owns and operates;Rhino Lacrosse(Portland) andPowell Lacrosse(national). Ryan's influence on both his opponents and young players/fans across the country has made him a natural fit for Team Puresport.
