Bernard Berrian is one of the highest-regarded free agents in the NFL’s 2008 class, Bernard Berrian was signed by the Minnesota Vikings in March of 2008. Bernard was a huge pickup for the Vikings due to his big-play potential and deep threat capabilities. He posted a career-best 71 receptions and career-high 951 yards in 2007 for the Chicago Bears. Bernard also caught a pass in all 16 games last year. Bernard was drafted in the third round by the Chicago Bears in 2004. He played college football at Fresno State.
Bernard left Fresno State as one of the most dynamic players in school history. He was named 1st-Team All-Western Athletic Conference both junior and senior years, while earning 2nd-team honors as a sophomore. He was also named All-American by AFCA as a junior when he caught 13 TD passes and set WAC record with 2,776 all-purpose yards. Bernard set a school record with 25 TD catches and was 2nd in the FSU record book with 199 receptions.
